At Sonoma County Winegrowers (SCW), no job is too big or too small for our dedicated team, which proudly educates, communicates, and markets on behalf of 1,800 grape growers and vineyard owners across Sonoma and Marin Counties.

Through a management services agreement with the Sonoma County Grape Growers Foundation (dba Fundación de la Voz de los Viñedos), we also champion our local vineyard employees by providing education, resiliency programs, and workforce development support.

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative Grant and Administrative Manager to provide exceptional operational support to the CEO and team. The ideal candidate is passionate about agriculture, family business, and wine — and believes in preserving the long-term value of local farms in our community.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

Grant Management & Strategic Funding

  • Develop, manage, and oversee all grant activities, including monthly reporting, compliance tracking, and budget monitoring.
  • Exercise discretion in identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new grant opportunities in collaboration with grant writing consulting service, Morrison.
  • Serve as primary liaison to local stakeholders — including winegrape growers, community organizations, and government agencies — to build partnerships and secure funding support.
  • Interpret and apply funding requirements to ensure compliance with state, federal, and private grant standards.

Organizational Operations & Executive Support

· Manage all communications and governance processes for SCW and the Foundation Board of

Directors, including agenda planning, meeting oversight, and compliance filings.

· Draft and finalize executive-level correspondence, board reports, and strategic communications

for high-profile partners and winegrape growers.

· Coordinate and lead logistics for key meetings, events, and programs, ensuring strategic

objectives are met.

· Conduct research and analysis to advise the CEO and COO on organizational decisions.

· Plan, prioritize, and manage the CEO’s calendar to optimize executive time for strategic initiatives.

· Oversee vendor relationships, negotiate agreements, and serve as the organization’s IT lead.

Financial Oversight & Compliance

· Collaborate with the COO to prepare, review, and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and

alignment with budgets.

· Approve and oversee AP/AR processes related to grant expenditures.

· Ensure documentation is audit-ready and in compliance with all funding and organizational

requirements.

Required Qualifications:

· Proven experience in an operational or grant management role with responsibility for independent

decision-making and project oversight.

· Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing

demands.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to craft persuasive funding

narratives.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

· Ability to maintain composure and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.

· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

· Flexibility to work occasional early mornings, early evenings, and Saturdays if needed.

Education/Experience:

· Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university with academic coursework in a

relevant discipline

Requirements & Physical Demands

· Valid California driver’s license preferred . The role may involve regular on-site visits and

equipment transport. Reasonable accommodations will be considered under applicable law for
